Terms of Use

These terms (“Terms”) govern your use of the PolarPantry mobile application (“the App”) published by Bluebear (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and to these Terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
• use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or the rights of any third party;
• interfere with the App’s security or integrity.

3. Your data

The App stores your inventory data locally on your device. We do not operate any server that receives your inventory data. See the Privacy Policy for full details. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups (e.g. iCloud Backup, the in-app JSON export).

4. Third-party advertising

The App displays non-personalized banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. Your interaction with those ads is governed by Google’s terms and privacy policy.

5. No warranty

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Expiry dates and reminders are convenience features only and must not be relied on as the sole indication of food safety; always exercise your own judgement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, for a free App, is zero.

7. Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App if you materially breach these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Tokyo.
