One-line pitch
PolarPantry is a beautifully simple fridge inventory app for iPhone that helps couples and families stop wasting food — by making visible the 43% of household food waste that gets thrown away unopened.
Longer description
Stop forgetting what’s in your fridge. Stop buying the same milk twice. PolarPantry lets you share one fridge with your partner or family over iCloud, scan barcodes, photograph receipts to bulk-add items, and photograph expiration dates so Vision OCR fills them in for you. On capable iPhones, Apple Intelligence suggests recipes from what’s expiring soonest and cleans up scanned receipts. Your data lives in your own iCloud account — no separate account, no third-party servers, no tracking.
Why it exists
43% of household food waste in Japan comes from items thrown away unopened — forgotten in the back of the fridge or the bottom of the pantry. PolarPantry makes that 43% visible, one item at a time.
